Keeping UL80Jt drivers up to date?

Thread Starter
Hello guys,

I was wondering, is there an Asus utility out there that will check for me what updates are available for my system? I nuked the OS the laptop came with as it had so much crapware on it, and now I'd like to be able to choose the very bare minimus set of software necessary to make using this UL a pleasant experience.

I know Lenovo had such a utility and it worked ok, kind of like a secondary Windows Update, so I was hoping Asus might have something similar.

Thanks!

ASUS Live Update is usually the tool that comes with any ASUS comps. See if you can re-install it all by itself.

And it's pretty useless, mine hasn't suggested any updates in 6 months. I've updated the GFX driver several times and the Intel chipset driver a couple of times. Control Deck has stopped to work - maybe because of the updates but I don't mind.

True most of the time. I kept mine (on Sony) on just in case they come out with some security or BIOS updates. 1-2 update suggestions a year and one can consider oneself to be lucky
