Going to 10"? Yes - you got it right.

Samsung Ireland, while announcing the current 7-inch Galaxy tab over there, also revealed plans for a 10-inch version in the first half of 2011 next year, also with Android (no doubt Gingerbread or Honeycomb) and a V8 Java-script engine by first half of 2011.

Now you can work away on your Galaxy Tab, without having to interrupt yourself to answer the phone, be it business or personal.
Expensive?

*Sighs* I want this form factor in a full OS with real software. I think I waste more time looking for work a rounds then I do getting anything done with it. Its okay for trivial uses and in a pinch, but after owning the iPad, it taught me what my real needs are.

Would I buy it again? Probably, I'm a gadget chick, I can't help myself. But I wouldn't be as tempted if I had all the programs I need. Mainly, Photoshop, OneNote, and Office. I am willing to work around Photoshop and Office, but nothing beats OneNote. While I'm at it, I want it to have Wacom too. And good viewing angles, must have that.

I'm seriously not sure why anyone would buy this at that price over the iPad. Don't get my wrong, I'm not anti Andriod. I just bought the Samsung Fascinate which is the mini version of this tablet lol.

But, Google says Andriod is not made for tablets, at least not the current version. Why then would I ignore them and run off and buy it at this price? Makes no sense to me. If your just shooting off emails or watching youtube I think its fine. If you want to do any kind of productivity on it, I think its way to small.

It has lot to do with consumers choosing non-Apple products just because they are non-Apple (don't want to jump on the bandwagon mind you)

I agree with you about Android on Tablets or anything that is larger than a mobile phone. Because that is what Android is (originally) for - OS for mobile phone. Google is working on its Chrome OS which can be used eventually on real computing machines (my opinion).

I hear their next version 3.0 might cater to tablets with larger screens. But right now an Android App on your phone is pretty much the same as on this tablet. They have limitations and screen resolutions that make it impossible to go beyond phone Apps on it.

I do agree about people wanting to buy anything not Apple. As you see in my signature, I'm a equal opportunity shopper. If something comes out better then the iPad, I'll be on it. I just can't help myself.

The one things I despise of all of them. I want a pen. Like Wacom on Tablet PC's. I want to write notes with precision, and I want to draw, not finger paint. And the writing experience on the iPad just sucks.

Toshiba and Acer have plan with Gingerbread in the 1st quarter of 2011, but I would not hold my breath on it. Ditto about your statement on the iPad - I'd get something better and cheaper if there is one Was hoping that this one would do but what a let down

Keep pounding, maybe Apple will hear your rumbling about the pen

Samsung Mobile Display want to introduce this panel for the booming Tablet market, so the next Galaxy Tab will be with Super-Amoled.
