8850 and 8760

I need your guys expertise. I am deciding between the two models. The rest of the specs are virtually the same , only the processor and gpu are in question.

I can purchase the 8760 with the 840 QM and a
(460m/5870m) or the 8850 with an i7 740 QM and GTX480m for about $200 more.

One of the questions is which would be faster out of the box for gaming, (AutoCAD as well, but there should be no problem there)

A positives of the 8850 is that it does have the fastest mobile gpu and there is a more room for improvement in the cpu along with the 480m, so it would ultimately be a better investment since I can upgrade down the road. any ideas?

Tough choice I'd flip the coin.

If you plan to keep the computer for a long time i would get the 8850 with the GTX 480M then, remember if you plan to use intense Auto Cad you need a QuadroFX gpu for the most optional performance. I do agree flip a coin, if it was me i would have an workstation with a Quadro FX graphics card, precision 6500, one of the sagers with a Quadro card, Lenovo W701/W701ds, Hp elitebook 8740W. I would keep the sager for gaming and multi-media.
