Backstory: I bought an HP G60-508US from Office Depot on the Black Friday of last year. However, since then there was a tragic accident that wrecked my G60, though the hard drives are still salvageable.
I bought the G60 for $300.
Goal: I would like to replace the G60 with a slightly more powerful computer, but at the same time I don't want to spend much more ($130 more tops). This laptop should preferably have a built-in webcam. Any machine that is better or as good as the G60 would be fine with me, even if it can't play Starcraft 2 or Civilization V (I'll wait to get a desktop for that).
Price Range: $300-430
So currently, Amazon is selling this Acer Aspire AS5251-1805
for $380. It looks much better than my G60. However, I'm afraid to commit, with Black Friday just around the corner. And also I'm not sure if Acer would be the most preferable brand. In any case, should I wait until Black Friday, or would this be better or cheaper than whatever computers that are likely to be sold on Black Friday? Finally, are there any computers available now with comparable stats and prices to the G60 and the Aspire?
