Can my Acer Extensa 6530-6561 use either the 6 cell or 8 cell batteries in it and what is the difference ?

yes. 8-cells should give extra battery performance on a single charge. Though I read somewhere that the 8-cells battery is not compatible with Windows 7 (whatever it means)

No problem. If it is worth anything, I personally stay with the OEM specs of the battery, just to be fine with the power adapter.

I have an 8 cell and it gives a longer charge. One think you should know, the 8 cell is a little bigger and sticks out the back a little. It's not a big thing, just something you should be aware of.
