Studio 17 Problem

I upgraded from vista to win7. I am trying to use the factory recovery to go back to factory, But it doesn't give me the option of choosing the recovery file in the recovery process. Can someone help me

And how did you try to recover? From recovery disks? From recovery partition? Any error codes and messages when trying the recovery steps?

I tried from restart hit f8 chose repair computer. chose recovery from an earlier image. It does not even show my recovery drive.
I tried restarting going into safe made accessing the recovery drive from my computer. No problem accessing the drive went into tools tried using PCRestore porgram it show formatting hard drive then gives an error box, but not error detail.

No recovery disk came with computer

hmmm, I wonder if you happened to wipe out the recovery partition when using PCRestore to format the drive

One can always re-installing Vista from scratch and use the drivers/apps from Dell Support Site to build the system anew.

Everything is still on the recovery partition..I dnt have a vista disk and was trying to keep from spending the money on 1...

Try using this ...

Then you might be able to boot up and access the recovery partition
