undefinedI am going to buy a laptop for college in the fall. I have narrowed it down to three models, the Hypersonic CX6, the Asus M6N from either ibuypower or powernotebooks, and the Clevo 375E from xtremenotebooks. Obviously I want a celeron that is medium wieght and has good battery life and widescreen. My question is which one would you guys recommend? And when should I buy it because I dont need it until august and I dont know if I should wait for the dothan processors, but I heard they will consume more battery life so I might not want to. Also if you have another ODM that you think is better than the ones I listed your input would be appreciated. My price range is 2000-3000 dollars so if you have any other laptops that you think would work please tell me. Thanks

So I just got a Lenovo Yoga 13. This is my review. As what I primarily do is writing and programming, having a good keyboard is critical for me, which is why a tablet alone can’t work for me, and...

I have this memory installed in my Inspiron 14R. 6gb (one 2gb & one 4gb). Great performance! I highly recommend Kingston.

I am also buying a laptop in the next few months, and I have chosen Hypersonic CX6 for now. The only reason I say for now is I am undecided about the widescreen. But why Hypersonic? I have read a few forums from different sites and Hypersonic’s name always seem to get recommended for their customer service and product quality control, they have a really good pixel guaranty(which is really important to me), and their prices aren’t to bad. Now if they offered a Centrino with a standard screen, I would be totally set.

I 100% agree with you. I am also going for the Hypersonic CX6. I am not too happy about the 15.4 screen, I wish it was a 14.1 SXGA. I am ordering the laptop as soon as Dothan appears.

I had a Dell 15.4 widescreen and returned it. I now have a regular 4:3 15" (HP nc8000). Feels much lighter and more portable, comfortable as a laptop where the widescreen didn't.
In terms of portability, I would put a 15" midway between a 14 and a 15.4, even though the 15 has about the same square inches as a widescreen.
It partly depends on what pixel count you need. If XGA (1024x768) is enough, I don't think I would bother with anything larger than 14 (unless my eyeballs were totally shot). But for SXGA+ or higher (1400x1050), you might actually appreciate the larger screen.
