Well it's not really a big issue. Under the LCD screen where the hinges are on the notebook case the case itself looks like it has a dipping curve in the plastic between the hinges in front of the keyboard. I was wondering if that is normal or is my notebook's case deformed?

Got a pic for us? If it curves but smooth with the lines then probably the design. If not, then it could be a flaw at delivery.

Sorry I don't have a way to take any pictures. I've been meaning to get a camera. I don't see any cracks in the plastic so perhaps the curve is part of the design. I find it annoying because the power button sits at an awkward angle and it does not look good.

Go here and magnify the view around the power button area. Compare it to yours and see

The models are locked down with two plastic rods that cover the base of LCD screen to prevent theft so I really could not tell. It's annoying.

Can the floor personel remove the lock for you? Ask them to bring out the box and see.

Bring your notebook back to the manager (if you bought it there) and simply say - "open it or you take this back" (seriously)
