Tablet PC?

I want to get a tablet PC, with a lot of the same features as a laptop, since I've been using traditional laptops for years. The things I would LIKE to be with the comp is an optical drive, webcam and modern tech (3-4GB, 400GB). I need Windows 7 and a max price of $1000. I'm going to college, and paying all of tuition by myself, with only a part-time $8.00/hr job.

Tablet -PC is not going to perform the same as notebook, at least as it stands.

Lenovo ThinkPad Convertible X201T comes pretty close to what you expect as specs though not at the price range you want to give out.
