High Definition Video output via DVI

I have a Sager NP 8890 with a 128mb Radeon 9600 pro and I was wondering if anyone has been able to output via DVI to an HDTV successfully. I am not talking about a computer monitor that is HD Cabable, but rather about just a regular High Definition Television. I have a Philips 34" widescreen and with all this new WMV-HD stuff, I would like to be able to watch it on my tv. I have tried using powerstrip but haven't found a setting that works. Please help!

i just checked my settings, and you can do 1920x1080 which is 1080i, and you can do 960x720 which i think is 720P.

therefor you should be able to at least do 1080i 16:9! lemme know how it goes!

edit: nope, doens't look like u can do 720P in 16:9, only 4:3

You will need to use PowerStripe. The 1920x1080 is not quite the same. You will have over scan. Also the refresh rate is quite diff. Be carefull or you could damager your tv if the refresh rate is not right. I am into HT myself and have T2 in 1080p. Looks great on my 8887. I have not got the cable to hook it up to my HDTV (Panasonic PT-53WXD63). Go to these sites and check out the sections on HTPC (Home Theater PC).
