WinXP CD DVD driver for my Lenovo R61e?

WinXP CD DVD driver for my Lenovo R61e? I have been looking for a long time at

I have installed every driver there is in this list but no CD/DVD functionality. When I read about all drivers in this list I don't find any that are speciffically for CD/DVD for my R61e


ironically I need these drivers to make a WinXP custom installation for another Toshiba laptop so that I can burn a new WinXP with SATA drivers included

You should not need any drivers to have your optical drive working, regardless of OS version. Were you not be able to use the drive for some reason?

Nope, but I used a third laptop (HP) to burn the CD but it pussels me that the Thinkpad cannot read/Burn CD/DVD anymore ... must be a hardware fault then

Very likely, try removing the drive and re-seating it, or use some cleaning disk
