Issues wuth Turbo Boost

I understand it is controlled automatically but I am a little perturbed. I was running WoW on ultra settings with roughly 30 fps but was only using about 30% of the cpu. I definitely was not expecting to take such a hit. What am I to do when I want to see more performance?

I would love to see my comp using just 30% processing power for everything

Try opening up many apps and see if it spikes up? Set the power scheme at high performance?

cheers ...

Your logic is flawed. Turbo Boost controls the frequency of each CPU core, not the percentage of the total CPU power applications are using. Intel has a Turbo Boost detection application that will tell you what the CPU clock speed is. If you run that, you'll see how Turbo Boost is working on your computer.

edit: and what is this "hit" you're talking about?

It is, obviously I'm not the most well read of computer enthusiests. Thanks for pointing out the app though. As far as the hit, I meant performance, or fps.
