Resolution on Studio 15

I have a Studio 15 with a 1920x1200 display, but the display resolution isn't listed as choosable on Dell's website anymore. Is the high res screen still available or is 1366 the limit?

Could I take the LCD panel off a studio 1555 and use it to replace a 1558?

Not sure about the higher resolution screen being available for configuration but 1366 is the norm for the moment for manufacturers in keeping cost down.

As far as swapping out the LCD between the 1555 and 1558, you might just need to review the physical connectors and see. Don't forget to swap out the inverter as well if it fits.

l've replaced keyboards and things a few times. Any idea how long it would take to get it apart (steps at http://support.euro.dell.com/support....htm#wp1179838 )

Very informative guide It usually takes me 20-30 minutes to have the LCD off and back on. Be careful with the wire and connectors, they are quite delicate
