How to connect dsixl to my xps net?

Hi I cannot connect my dsixl to internet on my xps 1710.



I am in UK, London. I am using virgin cable modem broadband 10mbit. Its a cable modem connected to my modem in my laptop. To share my connection am using zyxel g 202 wifi usb dongle - configured in AP mode without any security and or with WEP security. Every time i try connecting DSIXL get message 052000 - 1. Please help. thanks

This is just a general guide ...

1) locate your cable modem connection on your notebook and open up its properties

2) in the advanced tab you should see the Internet Connection Sharing - click on Allow and choose Wireless Network Connection

3) Go back to Wireless Network COnnection, open up its properties

4) In the Advance tab, choose Computer-to-Computer (ad hoc)

5) UN-check the Automatically Connect to non-preferred Networks


Try that first with your built in Wireless Connection of the the notebook. For the USB stick, you should not have to change it to AP mode.

For which connection to do this? for my LAN (broadan) or my wifi dongle?

I did that and no go. Anyway in the zyxel application in window where it shows connecting devices MAC addresses the MAC add of my dsi pops up when I try to connect. Now i get new error Error Code: 052100. Help

Maybe you should not use the zyxel app at all - just use the USB wifi as a simple device and let windows handles the driver and connection. Remember that it is only a share connection between mobile devices
