I was thinking of buying a Republic Of Gamers laptop, but my budget is only 1000 dollars, but then I found this AWESOME ASUS which is even better than the republic of gamers i was looking at! What do you think of it? I think I'll buy it in December.

BTW: I think it's a great price for the power you get, I will be running video editing programs and video games on it like GTA 4 or Fallout 3 (doesnt matter if graphics are on medium or low)

What do you think about this laptop, yay or nai?

Good price, very decent-to-good specs, fit your needs and brand preference ... Go for it.

Yeah man thanks for agreeing, this laptop is so cheap but great for the power so hopefully in a few months I'll be gaming it up on this laptop

Hopefully (I am sure of it) the price will go down some more by then for you. ASUS K and N series were first introduced back in February 2010 and were being considered ahead of the pack.

Yeah thanks for the extra info, I've seen over the past few months the Republic Of Gamers series go down little by little in price, can't say the same about Alienware! haha

ASUS kicks Alienwares ass

But anyway, a question for you, even though this laptop's processor is better than another one I was looking at by ASUS (this one has 450M the other has 430M)
The graphics aren't as good, this one has 335M which I have heard is GREAT for gaming, the other laptop from Republic Of Gamers had a 360M graphics card, will this one still game well you think, I think it will, but I need a second opinion

The 335M is in the same class of the 9800M GTS, which was top performer until newer model come along. You should be fine.

Thanks yet again, you're my hero dude

Yes Asus laptop prices go down for sure...Alienwares prices do not, consider resale value of them both though...Tough to find a Alienware lose a lot of money until they are 3 generations ahead.
