IBM thinkpad 390/Puppy 5.1

Am trying to setup my old Thinkpad with Puppy Linux and try and figure that out...Anyone have any idea of what Infrared driver would work with Puppy??? anyone tried it before...been surfing all over with different queries and trying to find one...I understand it is an IRDA based driver..just that the hardwire internet connection is being used by the grandson with his desktop so all my lappys are hooked up wirelessly thru my Belkin router..puppy supplies a list of drivers but doesnt appear to be an IRDA on there other than Dongles...tried them, they didnt work...I am thinking that Infrared may be an older term for wireless, but it is probably two different kettles of fish...no compatability between the infrared port on the TP and the Belkin router...

No, IRDA is ifra red, a IR light base communication used in the likes of TV remotes.. Basically defunct in most PC's apart from some media centre PC's.. I would get a USB wifi stick and use that.. If you have a PCMCIA slot even better use that...

Its Puppy 5.1.....was thinking that infrared and wireless were same thing just older terminology, but I guess its a different kettle of fish...well, I dont want to spend any money on this system as its not really worth it..so a wireless pcmcia or usb card/dongle is out...I just may on ocassion, take the ethernet cable from the GS desktop and play with it there
