I have my mind set on this laptop, like I said in other posts.

Though I already know it's a great laptop, do you think it'll game smoothly through games like GTA 4 or Red Dead Redemption? I'd be willing to set graphics to low for certain games.

I'm pretty sure games will run smoothly but just making sure with people, the reason why I ask is because it has a 1GB 335M graphics card and an i5 450M processor, I saw a video of GTA 4 gameplay of a laptop with 330M graphics card with i5 also I think, but aren't the 330M and 335M different? I read in another forum that 335M is better, but back to the main question, will this laptop game smoothly for newer and better graphics games? Anyone have framerates? Thanks in advance

I repeat what I said - absolutely gaming well

Frame rate is an oxymoron. Too many parts in the equation.

Nothing to worry about. Notebook is a serious investment that you really want to have it last many years.

Take your time checking out different brands/models!

I agree with both of you, I went through many, many models and I'm either going with the G72GX by ASUS or G60JX, but probably the G60JX because of the upgradeable i5 to i7 processor, well replaceable I guess

Yes, I'd suggest at least 360M or 445M to play with decent fps on new games.

Sorry to poke into the off-topic But it seems like Alienware designs their own mobo and work as their own with Dell as their mutual partner. Unlike Dell purchases designs and company, so can't agree with UbErMaRiO's statement

I don't think that this mutual partner is holding true. From what I read and heard AW is about to be something in the past just like Voodoo and eMachines Sure the brand is probably still there, yet
