HP dv6 laptop fan running extreme

for about the past month or two something has been causing the fan inside of the laptop to be running faster then normal, i guess its just louder then normal, it's not a fan blade clicking its more like a program is making it run faster then i've noticed in the 8 months that i've owned the laptop.

You can try taking apart and see if it needs cleaning inside (fan, vents) and maybe new thermal paste on the CPU as well

Mostly I use q-tips, vacuum cleaner and compressed air. You'd be surprised to see how much dirt inside after 6 months or more.
