Acer Aspire 7530G Keyboard not working

Thread Starter
Ok so it all started about 6months ago when my left CTRL key stopped working, as did the left shift. This wernt too much of a problem as obviously there are 2 of these. But recently the whole top QWERTY row went out of action and various other keys have ceased to work, i would say more than half of the keys. So i logged onto ebay and bought a replacement keyboard, fitted it, booted up, and then to much of my annoyance i had the EXACT same problem, i.e. same keys not functioning, and now, even more recently, not one single key works at all. I have tried flashing the bios with no luck. Any suggestions will be much appreciated as this is very frustrating since i paid the good end of 500 quid for this laptop and i dont see why i should have to stick with a usb keyboard, also the warranty has just expired.

I know you dont want to hear this, but it sounds like the motherboard is starting to go bad...

Try cleaning the motherboard slot for the keyboard and check for any bent or broken pins...
