used this guide from ataxy, as read here:

i pre-tested this laptop, and it had the splotchy graphics issue that is pretty standard with these nvidea video cards. i did the oven trick per ataxy's method.
now, i've double checked everything. i have good power from the ac adapter, but when i power the laptop up, i get the green power light on, and it stays on...but neither fan spins, no video. battery not installed, hard drive not installed. i've done memory swap, and i'm sitting here currently with the base motherboard, cpu, fans, video GPU card, 1 stick of memory, and the power adapter just to test.
any ideas? could i have fried (pun intended) the video card? i don't care if i did, but i am wondering what would stop the fans from spinning upon putting it back together, when it was booting up fine. just some history, i've been repairing laptops for 15 years...i chose the bake method before i shell out $200.00 for a GPU card that someone else did the bake method to...ha ha. hey, i've fixed 3 different PS3 consoles with just a heat gun, so there's something to that method.
the DC jack input components all look to be fine on the motherboard. nothing is different from where i started to now, except less components installed, and a fresh from the oven 'baked' GPU.
oh, and hi. i should stick around.
