i was using cpu-z to check my specs and noticed that my fsb speed is rated at 1066 but is running at 266, also the ram seems to be cripple at half its speed 533 mhz when it should be 1066. what could be the issue here ??

your seeing the Clock speeds, that is tghe speed before they are muliplied for the buss speeds.

look closer for the multiiplier values

multiplying the the bus speed(266) times the multiplier(8.5) only gives me the clock speed of the cpu(2.26), right? how can i know 4sure at what speed is my fsb running? is supposed to run at 1066 mhz

on the memory tab of the CPUz program you shoud see the memory clocks and the x2.x multiplier info

What version of CPUz are you using ?

your memoy is running @ 1066, the FSB ratio 1:2 idicates that the 533 clock speed is doubled. as it should be.

Is can be confusing how CPUz and GPUz reports the timings

Try hwinfo32, or some other diagnostic programs, each have thier own ways of showing clock speeds and buss speeds
