Buying my first AW! PLease tell me what you think about the specs!

Hi guys, I'm more interested in how my new computer will stack up against my old M1730!

My old specs:

X9000 processor
9800gtx Sli
8 gigs ram
750 gig 7200 rpm HD
DVD burner

This is my new computer!

1 CD91C Base,Notebook,Black,Configure To Order,Alienware,M17X10
1 13H17 Module,Processor,Clarksfield,I7-920XM,2.0,M17X
1 7X54D Module,Information,Audio,M15X
1 8WG28 Module,Liquid Crystal Display,17WUXGA,Light Emitting Diode,M17X10
1 C465T Module,Bracket,Hard Drive, Second,With Connector,M17X
1 CDKX3 Module,Blu-Ray Rewritable,
1 CTX0X MODULE,INFORMATION,WIRELESS, BLUETOOTH,370
1 D0W4H Module,Software,Alienware,COMMANDCNTR,M17X10
1 H375M Module,Solid State Drive,256 S2,2.5,RBAM,Across Line Of Business
1 H376M Module,Solid State Drive,256 2.5,#2,RBAM,Across Line Of Business
1 NRTT8 Module,Card,Graphics,5870,Parker,Mid-Life Kicker
1 NWTF3 Module,Card,Network,6300,Alienware
1 T780J Module,Battery,Primary,85WHR 9C,Dynapack International Technology Corp
1 V3C5M Module,Card,Network,370,Foxconn,Alienware,Dell Americas Organization
1 W795M Module,Dual In-line Memory Module,8GB,1333MHZ,DDR3,2X4G
1 Y540P Module,Software,Alienware CYBERLINK,YOUCAM

Now my main concern I guees is the video card, more specifically, the lack of one of them!

How will this 5870 compare to my 9800GTX Sli's?

What do you guys think about everything else?
The 5870 graphics card should be comparable to the SLI setup you had before. The new CPU is considerably better than your old one and the (if I'm reading this correctly) dual SSDs (in RAID 0?) will blow away your old hard drive.

Thanks for the input! I had no Idea that the 5870m was a pretty decent card! So with the dual SSDs, will it pull up info faster than my old HD's or is it just better because it has less chnace of breaking?
SSDs typically run between 2-5x faster than hard drives. 2 of them in RAID 0 will make them even faster. They're seriously fast in comparison to hard drives.

Don't buy the 128 gig ssd from dell buy one off market like intel the 120 gig or 160 gig one. There been great sales on it recently. Otherwise those specs are great. The cross-fire 5870's will destroy sli 9800gtx's!! Enjoy your newest machine make sure to get a 940M instead though.

I loved the RGB LED screen I had. Blu-Ray (and non Blu-Ray) movies were vivid.

RGBLED rocks! I just wish it was a slightly better TN 16 bit atleast!

So I've been using my new laptop for the past few days and I LOVE IT! I wans't so excited when I first used it with the touchpad drivers installed, but after a fresh install of windows7 and letting windows install the driver for my touchpad, this thing is working great!

The RBG screen is fricken awsome too! The colors, especially red are so vivid! No other way to describe it unless you are looking at it!

They all should have these RGB screen for all notebooks. Seriously, they should not be so expensive nowadays. Run and submit some benchmarks, even give us a personal review of your comp?

cheers ...

RGB-LED FTW!!!111

As long as you are using your m17x not only for gaming, but much more for 3D-CG and movie-cutting stuff too ...

BTW: m17x's 5.1 Sound will blow your ears awaaaaaaaaay , too ...
