Verified? Well you got a computer exchange very good. What are your specs and new machine?
Sounds like it's in production. What date did the exchange get set up? What are the specs of the replacement system, and what were the specs of your original system? I have a pending exchange as well, and was wondering how they were treating people right now.

Thanks dave. I'm getting to know it. Had it just a little over 2 days so im playing around with it. I have a question. Would it be a good idea to update my video drivers to the new nvidia drivers that are on there website? Thanks dave!

Which Version ?

I am using the 260.99 drivers and have been happy with them.

But over all I am always in favour of using the lastest drivers

and make sure you do the backup for the restore partition so that if you decide to upgrade the hard drives you can do a system restore.

future upgrades you may want to consider is a Solid State Hard Drive (SSD)

They are starting to drop in price, but a suggested config for a M17x is to have a 128 - to 256 Gb SSD drive to boot up with, and then a standard drive as the data/backup drive

I use a 256Gb SSD drive to boot, and a 500 GB drive as my data/backup drive works great.

Boot times are @ 30 seconds

As for updating the video driver should I uninstall the old drivers first and the physx driver too?

Dave you don't know how bad I want a SSD drive but until they drop I will just have to wait:P. I did a backup with a 8.5GB DL DVD on the 30th. So when I get the SSD drive I just use that disc and ill get back all that was on the hard drive before Right? Thanks so much dave

Yes. I got one that says:
Alienware Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64Bit and one that says:
Alienware M17X Resourse DVD.
Well those are the two key CDs that you can do a complete re-install with should you ever replace the boot hard drive.
