This laptop looks to be the perfect match for my needs: 14" + great specs.

Before purchasing i would like to know if its able to take another hardrive, more specifically a 2.5" ssd. I plan on installing programs and OS files on the ssd and use the existing hardrive as storage.

Would greatly appreciate if anyone can help!

Yes, you can put an SSD in the notebook as long as the SSD uses SATA (not PATA, SCSI, PCIe or SAS) as a transfer protocol.

edit: but you should know that you cannot have 2 drives in the notebook at once. If you swap in an SSD, then the existing hard drive will need to be used as an external.

An SSD should have either the SATA II (3 Gbps) or III (6 Gbps) spec in order to deliver on its capable performance. The notebook already supports SATA II
