so i have an hp pavilion dv9000 series laptop (which is complete junk already had motherboard and lcd replaced) and recently its been having problems. it first stopped working then when i went to reset it would skip the bios screen, go straight to the startup logo screen then do nothing. i tried everything and had no luck so i blocked off the vents and overheated then let cool down.. restart... because i read that work and it did turn on. It would work for a while then i would have to do the same thing again. i got the message that the video card or something stopped working and recovered a couple of times which led me to believe i have a bad connection between the graphics chip and the motherboard..? im pretty sure this is the same problem i had 2 years ago when i sent it to hp. they replaced the motherboard and its worked for a while but same problem now... so ive taken the motherboard out and now im not quite sure what to do. i was considering having the graphics chip reballed but im not sure if i need to get a whole new motherboard or if it could be something else.. i would really appreciate any input i am new to this.
