Dell Inspiron keyboard.

Does anyone know if it is possible to connect a standard desktop keyboard to a Dell laptop? I was successful connecting an external monitor and it works good but I don't know how to connect the keyboard. Thanks for any help.

you can use a USB keyboard,

Some of the older Dells had a PS2 port that may support a PS2 keyboard.

Might want to consider a docking station, it simplifies loads of thing when connecting external devices to notebooks.
