hp pavilion dv6-2000 charging issue

Thread Starter
It seems as though the operating system (Windows 7) is not recognizing the power chord, however the battery will still charge.

For example: I will pull out the chord until the battery reaches say 70%, after which I plug it back in and the laptop screen will not brighten nor will the little plug icon appear next to the battery icon. However, the battery power will rise in percentage when periodically checked.

Any ideas?

What happened if you only use the power chord? And what happened if you let the battery charged all the way up back to 100%?

cheers ...
