Hello folks,

I have an Acer Aspire 8943g-9319 and I need a spare power adapter. The model of the adapter that it came with is LITEON PA-1121-04, 19V, 6.32A. Does anyone know of a good/affordable place to purchase one?

TIA,

grecinos

I use ebay or AMAZON... Generic multi adaptors work too if you buy a decent one...

Try http://shop.acer.com. I just bought an OEM spare for my new 1430 Aspire, straight from Acer, no compatibility issues, 20 USD plus another 10 for shipping. 30 USD total for an exact OEM replacement.

After reading some of the reviews of units on Amazon and eBay, I decided to steer clear of any generic knock off adapters and got with one from the original manufacturer.

Well said - and there are on-line retailers that carry OEM parts. Just have to look for them and pay attention to the prices.

Thanks for your input . I ended up buying one from Ebay. I tried looking at Acer's website for accessories and I couldn't find the right power adapter. I actually called Acer and they said they didn't carry an adapter for my laptop. I find that hard to believe, but what can you do? I ended up paying around $30, I haven't received it yet so I hope I don't get a lemon.

You'll be fine, have used and sold many a generic or multi adaptor and had very few issues - the main one is DELL 1520 and 1525 series that failed to work properly... The price of branded power bricks has dropped dramatically, thanks to the low cost alternatives...

I think you'll be fine too. That adapter should work out great for you. Eventually for that price, it will be nice to have one at each location I plug in, that way I don't have to tote the power supply around every where, mess with the cord tangling, etc.

Thanks for the encouragement. I think I'll be fine too. I looked at the photo on the eBay auction and it looked exactly the same as the one I have now. Azureal, having a power supply at each location that I plug it in is exactly why I bought a spare. It's kind of silly and maybe I'm a little lazy... I use my laptop in my bedroom all the time. I have a desk where I use it primarily, but I also use it while sitting on my Futon. The thing is, when I have it on my desk, I like to wrap the cord with velcro so it doesn't get tangled. Then, when I use it on my futon, I have to undo the velcro plug it in and such. Having a spare will also help from having mishaps. On the other hand, I'll be taking my spare when I hit the road, so it's a lot more convenient for that purpose too.
