Dual core is fine - it is mostly OS related.

cheers ...

you will need a 64 bit OS to take advantage of the 8 GB

A 32 Bit OS is limited to 4 GB

Thanks guys ... I guess since I have win 7 64 bits I should be fine. I'm currently using 2 gigs and it runs fine though I feel 8 gigs should give me a boost while playing games..

I am not so sure about 8gigs would boost game playing though

cheers ...

I just figured since when I play wow and crisis war head they hug all the ram and I can barely multi task. A second gpu card should help for games but they run a bit pricy at this time, so I rather spend my money on ram then, I will do gpu and finally CPU

Now we are talking - multi-tasking - yes, 8gigs would help you out in this case

cheers ...

Split the difference and get 4GB which will be more than enough and save the rest for the second GPU. Unless you plan on playing multiple games at once 8GB won't come into affect. If you like running large databases or running multiple virtual machines off your system then go ahead with the 8GB.

Good idea.. I might just do that but still damn 300 bucks for a somewhat out dated gpu card is super steep

For the newer systems they have the same video bios. The older 3870s had a master and slave vbios. That's why you will see a "M" or "S" sticker on it.

Yes, there are ways of flashing a master to a slave. The easiest thing to do is just make sure it's a slave card.
