acer aspire 1601 doesn't works???

Hello,

I have an Aspire 1601 and it doesn't turns on. I suspect the battery has died but i don't know if the computer could work without the battery plugged in.

Could I jump the laptop battery connectors to check if it is the computer or the battery?

Any help is welcome.

You would not need to have a battery plugged in to start up. Give it a try with just the ac adapter.
