There does seem to be a LOT more glare on the SXGA. How bad is it in person?

P.S. Thanks very much for posting these. It's very helpful.

Looks sweet and sexy. I have an extra $5000 laying around after I bought my 5690, I might as well buy an 8790 as well!

that's really nice....wondered why don't they have such option for 5690 uxga...that'd be damn sweet.

I picked up the laptop yesterday and boy does the screen look nice. I thought in the beginning it would bother me but once i used it for a while, i don't even see the reflection. In games, i hardly notice it at all too. This screen is absolutely amazing. I have the powerbook 17 as well and this screen surpass the powerbook.

Question, can the new screens run at 1440x900 or just the higher widescreen res? 1440x900 is already a bit high for demanding games...

without knowing for sure..i'd say you probably could.....probably the same as turning your 1600x1200 5690 down to 1280x1024...then again, you cant change that one to 1400x1050....which is kinda interesting..
right, you can use all standard resolutions that will fit with in the native res, but you cant force any other wide screen aspects.

Yes, I have 1680x1050 Brightview and I play City of Heroes at 1400x900.

Here's a screenshot I took. Looks great:
