Thread Starter
Hi, i was using catalyst 10.11 and installed 10.12, then my catlyst control centre wouldn't work any more, i uninstalled the driver software and then uninstalled the drivers by going to device manager and clicking uninstall and clicking delete software.

everytime i now restart my laptop it will only install a standard vga adapter, i have tried manually updating and it says it can't install the drivers etc...

I am using windows 7 64 bit, the drivers i have are also win 7 64 bit.

Can anyone help i really wnat my system back to normal with the right video settings, my system restore is turned off as well from when i had a virus and i forgot to turn it back on.

Can anyone advice please?

What is your system model? Have you tried picking up the original driver that came with the system and re-installing it?

For notebooks in general, I would not personally update the graphic card drivers outside what's being offered by the manufacturers sites.

cheers ...

On most laptops with ATI graphics, I have found you have to force the install, by updating the driver and choosing which driver to install manually... (this is one reason why I am not that keen on ATI cards, specially prevalent with the Xpress200 chipset)...
