Acer 1690 speakers not working

Hi all

I am a newbie here, so if this is the wrong place to post - I apologise


I purchased an Acer 1690 a few years ago and installed Vista. Ever since the speakers and card reader have not worked

Sound is working via external speakers or headphones ( via Jack or USB ) and the fluctuating light bar works on the Volume control

I have no idea how to check the card reader


If anyone has resolved this issue or can give me pointers to do so, I would greatly appreciate it please

Did you try the drivers for Vista from here?
