Weird problem on my Area-51 m5500 R3

Thread Starter
Hello felllow guys & gals ,

lately, I just tried to install some Linux distribution on my Area-51 M5500 R3, but after some settings session and mostly breaking up installation I cannot get into my user/root account !

Because my Linux dont want to load up in the best case (if installation itself is not breaking up) !

My Linux DVD is from SuSe, MBR protection is disabled in BIOS; there are 2 GB of RAM there and my HDD is 100GB big.

On the other side, all the Windows OS discs just run perfectly, as well as my good old Win98 .

Please help ... many ThanX for your kindness .

Does the computer boot up properly and you just can't log in, or is there a different problem?

What do you mean by "breaking up installation"? I'm trying to decipher what your problems are, but can't figure out because I don't understand the nomenclature you are using to describe your issue.
