I've got an M5790 running 2.06 bios that BSOD everytime XP is just about to start.
I can't enter Safe Mode to perform system restore or to extract the dump so I can check it out, tried ERD Commander 2005 but no matter what option I try to use I get the same exact BSOD
Bad_Pool_Caller
0x000000C2 (0x00000046,0xD8c64000,0x00000000,0x00000000)
Memory and hard drive tested 100% clean.
Ubuntu boots up problem free, mini-xp, bartpe, etc. but haven't been able to do much with anything. Tried disabling a few drivers through Mini-XP but end up with same bsod at exact time during boot up.
Tried Last Known, VGA Mode, command prompt, you name it.
I believe the issue is a corrupt driver but how I'm unsure of how to determine which driver is corrupt and how to fix.
Already ran Chkdsk /r and all the typical normal stuff I'd do.
Would just format and reinstall XP but I've got some programs that I can't lose so that's not an option.
I've already imaged the drive so fire away with suggestions
