So I'm looking for some hi-res picture of 7950GTX 512Mb and especially what code is printed on his memory chips.
Searching on net I can't find that info.
So if you have some pictures or other details any info is welcome.
I have opened my Dell and take a look.
There are 8 chips of memory HY5RS573225 AFP-16
Other IC are :
ISL6244HRZ Multiphase PWM controller
MAX8526 low voltage regulator
Pm25LV010 flash vbios
SC470I Synchronous buck power controller
91730AML I think could be ICS91730 clock generator
And another one that was marked with something uncleanable seems to be AT88SC 0808C that could be Atmel AT88SC0808C which is 8-Kbit User Memory with Authentication and Encryption Don't know for what purpose.
According to datasheet HY5RS573225 AFP-16 is an 32M GDDR3 at 600Mhz and 1.8V
There are H5RS5223CFR by example 64M chips with same ballout configuration and compatible voltage.
What is different on 32M and 64M chips at Hynix is
The Hynix H5RS5223 is internally configured as a eight-bank DRAM
The Hynix HY5RS573225 is internally configured as a quad-bank DRAM
I'm not so smart to figure haw this bank is related to access memory
Now I'll search for some Hynix 64M chips and see what I can do.
I'm still waiting for some info what memory chips are on 7900 or 7950 with 512M
All I found was an MXM 7950 with 32M chips at 350Mhz
I'm not sure.
Could be 32M chips or 64M
