i have Acer ferrari 4005wlmi, the fan doesn't run and the battery doesn't charge (i tried another battery too). The motherboard works , so i don't which is the problem. have you ever seen this issue?

Take it apart and give it a good clean up. Apply new thermal paste as well, and then probably a new AC Adapter in the work?

cheers ...

You are able to run the notebook if you have the external fan and with the power supply? Then the power board should be fine.

Tried that new battery in another notebook? Is it an OEM battery?

As far as the fan not coming on, it could be just the fan itself is gone

i've changed it with a new fan, but the problem is not there,
moreover i have two batteries and nothing changes. the external fan is attached to another adapter.

Sometimes one needs 3-4 batteries replacement before one gets a working one.

The batteries you have, did you test them on another notebook?

So there is the power adapter left to be verified. Test it on another notebook?

But why fan doesn't work?
if there is a motherboard problem it couldn't start!
Instead motherboard works fine
Only fan doesn't start. cpu overheat and finally shoutdown.

Is the replacement fan exactly the same as the original? Check the output to the fan from the main board.

it's the same.
i'm starting to think that the problem is the mainboard.
if i change the mainboard maybe the battery start charging.

I don't know.

The mainboard is the last thing I write off. But then if you are so sure. Good luck.
