M9700, 1 speaker out

I am probably going to answer my own question, but I figured its best to get some input before i assume(ass-u-me)

Anyways, looking at the laptop my left speaker is out, but the right is working and so is the sub woofer in the back. I think its just a loose wire that connects to the speaker. But could it also be a card issue? I would assume not since the other 2 speakers are still operational. Once I get some ideas besides my own of what it is I am going to hit the ground running, tear it open and take a look.

. When did this start?
. Have you tried un-installing and re-installing the audio driver 1st?
. Last but not least "tear it open and take a look" is always a good idea

cheers ...

I got the laptop like that, but yes it has the most up-to-date driver so i will just crack it open. Its not like I have not opened one of these badboys up before. Thanks though. Any idea what it may be?

Like you said, a loose contact or possible a cringe somewhere if the notebook has been opened before. Could also be a bad jack

cheers ...
