Problems with real time audio under Vista;

Hello everyone;

Im happy owner of Dell Studio 1555 laptop. This version has 3 GB of memory,

250 GB disk space and Intel T4200 2 GHZ. I recently bought a new audio

interface - NI Audio 2 DJ USB. After installation of newest driver I got

breaks & pops in played sound. The breaks was unpleasant, so

I decided to install previous driver. I thought that was a interface problem

so I got another interface (USB too).

Now I have more comfortable listening environment because clicks & pops

appears rarely and I can work with my DAW.

Despite it I think that maybe it is a hardware problem. Look at attached

image...

Does anyone have any idea ?

Is this being connecting direct to the notebook? Did you try on different USB ports?

Problems with real time audio under Vista;

Hi;

I tried out every possible combination.

I changed usb port. I was turning off various devices
in control panel manager. I got new interface.
I have reinstalled the system.

My interface X-Fi Surround 5.1 is connected directly
to usb port.

Maybe I forgot about something but I dont know...

It looks like a motherboard problem ?

Windows is an OS that needs some tweaking before it is suitable for low latency audio. This is part of the reason I choose not to use it(There are many others) and many people go with Macs(Which are nice out of the box for this purpose).

My first question is, do you need low latency audio? What for?

My second question is, have you already gone through all the steps outlined on SOS repeatedly over the years?

And be certain to follow through with the further reading links at the bottom of the article, particularly this one....
