I recently did a firmware upgrade on my optiarc 5600s. It reads dvds and CDs but is ridicuously slow, and takes forever to spin up and recognize discs. The firmware upgrade I did was the 10AB the most current firmware from the drivers and downloads. It worked fine before that. I am pointing the problem at the firmware upgrade. But maybe someone found a workaround or has an older firmware I can flash to it to fix the problem.
