Hello Guys,
I'm new to your site, but I need your help with my Everex Laptop. This machine was built as a NC1502, buy due to a problem with the power jack, I bought a replacement board off Ebay to upgrade to a Intel based processor. I started out with a Celeron CPU, and upgraded to to a core 2 duo (1.6mhz). All is well there. The problem that I have is now matter what ram I try, I can't get the system to recognize more than 1 GB, even when there are 2GB Installed. I am currently running Crucial 5300 at 667mhz, and the CPU is running at 667 as well. Ive used SPECCY, and it sees the ram, just not the BIOS or Vista. I think that if I could reinstall (or update the BIOS), that I might solve this. I can't find a BIOS update for this machine anywhere. Any Help?
