Hello old NBF friends... Looking to buy

Been out of the PC world for a couple years. Been using Mac's and still do. But I am looking to drop some cash on a m17x R2. I use da m11x for a couple days I picked up form Best But, the R1. The screen was top small for my taste and I got random system reboots when I turned overclocking on in the bios.

Ive done some pretty extensive research and feel most of the bugs are worked out of the r2 with crossfire 5870's? Any other things ya'll want to make me aware of?

Wow, I had no idea you were even still around.

From what I hear the r2 is a good choice.

Heya MB67... I stop by every now and then. But been in photography and using my Mac's not much time for hanging out, divorce, new house , etc etc...

Thanks for the input. I liked the m11x what little I got to use it. Just dropped it off at Best Buy last night. I found a bunch of info about random restarts on another notebook website. I didn't feel like fooling around with it being a brand new machine it shouldn't have done it. I am not totally sold on the m17x. I am contemplating another brand I have to really weigh the amount of time i'll be gaming etc.

also when the R3 is released again with the Intel bug fix, it would also make a decent laptop option, just no RGBLED screen option for the R3, which is a great option for the R2

Hey Duke! Good to see you!

Welp I did it. I ordered a m17x R2.. I ordered it overnight yesterday and just opened it up and its sitting on my desk here at work. SO FAR SO GOOD! I need a gaming machine so i can leave my Mac's to photoshop/photography etc...
