Adding Wireless 802.11N to D810, feasible?

Anyone done this? I have found a number of articles and postings about adding draft n cards and third antennas to older laptops, most of these articles seem to be a couple years old.

Is it feasible to add N wireless to a D810? If so, any recommendations on which mini-pci cards to use?

Thanks for any info

TP-Link offers some Mini PCI N cards and you should not need a 3rd antenna for it. I am not sure about the advantage of having an N card if the Wireless environment cannot support it though.

Thanks, I am looking at upgrading my network to N. Currently running a pair of Netgear WAG302 AP's with success for several years. Looking at a WNDR3700 as a replacement for an Airlink101 AR504 router and the WAG302 units.

I thought the third antenna was an integral part of the MIMO technology that gains the throughput advantage.

Not in any hurry, just thinking ahead a bit so I can look for deals on used gear

True in many senses that the 3rd antenna would improve the throughput, yet I have seen many cards without the 3rd antenna being connected performing just as well Try first with 2 and see. 3rd antenna is cheap, finding the right placement for it is always a sticky issue.

cheers ...
