XPS M1730 - One 8800M GTX has just disappeared!

Hi, just go my m1730 on friday (from ebay - yeah bad choice looking back on it now!), I got the model with dual 8800m GTX's in sli, it was working fine on friday, but then yesterday it just froze (no blue screen or anything and just whilst looking at emails), I thought nothing of it and just restarted the laptop. It wasn't til the evening when I noticed that there was no option for SLI anymore in nvidia control panel. I then checked device manager and there was only one 8800GTX under display adapters, the other had completely disappeared. I wondered at first if this was a software problem, so checked the bios and that now states that the display adapter now has 512MB rather than 1024MB also indicating that the second one has 'disappeared'. I have sent the seller an email, but no reply as of yet so I may be taking this up with PayPal. But was just wondering if I'm missing something or has the second 8800 just suddenly died? It's weird because there was no blue screen and it doesnt show up in device manager at all (not even with a warning sign next to it). Thanks for any help.

It is a possibility that one card dies on you. If there is no master and slave then I would try to swap the cards around, or install one at a time and see.

cheers ...
