NBF 4.0 Reaction/Bugs/Broken Things Thread

So far I notice it's incredibly slow; not only as far as loading pages but scrolling too.

 

And when I read the forums I always click "new posts" and read through there...not only was it confusing to find this same feature here but when you read through it you have to open posts you want to read in new windows/tabs because hitting the back button resets where you were in the list.  Quite annoying.

 

I do like the overall design of the site, however.

Right now, it's sometimes slow.

Missed the green dot telling you that there is new post(s) in the sections

Pretty much.  For sections broken into subsections, there is an overall dot that tells you there are new posts, apparently it will show deleted posts in this summary for the record, but the subsections don't indicate which subsection has a new post, so for example in Apple, I have to look through all three subsections to find one that has a new post.

 

And yea deleted SPAM is showing up in the new post summary in the forum index.

Well the 'good' news is we just crashed FF4.0 here, oh yea!  And now to submit this post and then edit it since I can't put in a CR any other way...

 

EDIT:  Ok good grief that gets annoying quick.  On to my original topic that I was going to post, is there ANY visual indication of MODS or CRs now?  Cause I don't see it if there is.

I saw a bunch of deleted posts showing up as well. Is Huddler performing some sort of post recycling to keep the page interesting?

So far so good with Minefield 4.2a1pre

I'm not seeing one.  It's in the Admin tools but not noticeable in the forum unless you're an admin or supermod
 

 

I tried altering my sig because some characters seem broken. I can add new text but I don't seem to be able to edit/delete any of the text that was ported over. also some of the existing text was lost, I'm assuming tighter character limit?

yeah after a few days of playing, i find it much harder to locate new posts in any given forum, other than trying to check the dates which seems to take much more effort If I am tracking several forums.

 

Also miss the click to go to the last post option, which was nice when someomne bumps a old topic that I might not have posted in before, now it takes me to the first post.

Loading is still really slow for me.

Using FF3.whatever or FF4

Also slow using Opera on my mobile.

I keep getting logged out and it wont let me log back in until I clear my password and retype it.
