You have to make sure you've got a pci-e slot available, plus height/size constraints: The laptop in first place doesn't have a lot of room to add things. Now I suppose you could take something out that's occupying a slot, however voltage requirements might get in the way. Just make sure that the WWAN card meets the voltage requirements of the motherboard first.
