Possible CPUs in an old M6300

I recently purchased a cheap Precision M6300 as an upgrade to my existing lappy. I was wondering what I could do to upgrade it further in the way of a CPU.

I can get hold of a cheap P8600 or a P9700 but I haven't read anywhere about Pxxxx's being possible upgrades. I did read on here somewhere about pin modding but they didn't mention what processor it was.

Any help would be appreciated.

So far I know these will work:

Intel® Core™2 Extreme Processor X9000 (6M L2 Cache, 2.80 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) 44W
Intel® Core™2 Extreme Processor X7900 (4M L2 Cache, 2.80 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) 44W
Intel® Core™2 Extreme Processor X7800 (4M L2 Cache, 2.60 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) 44W
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T9500 (6M L2 Cache, 2.60 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) 35W
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T9300 (6M L2 Cache, 2.50 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) 35W
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T8300 (3M L2 Cache, 2.40 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) 35W
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T8100 (3M L2 Cache, 2.10 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) 35W
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T7800 (4M L2 Cache, 2.60 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) 35W
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T7700 (4M L2 Cache, 2.40 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) 35W
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T7500 (4M L2 Cache, 2.20 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) 35W
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T7300 (4M L2 Cache, 2.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) 35W
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T7250 (2M L2 Cache, 2.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) 35W
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T7100 (2M L2 Cache, 1.80 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) 35W

Your laptop supports socket M CPUs if I recall, the P86xx series are Socket P Even though they are both 478 pin I doubt the BIOS supports them.

different front side buss speeds as well. I think your maxed at 800/667

I think your list above is pretty much it.
