I have just bought my 1st laptop. The very basic entry level dell inspiron 15 I have bought it mainly to take on holiday and catch up on emails etc. I have got it also has a back up should /when something goes wrong with my ancient 5 year old dell desktop. Since the specs of the laptop does not mention a built in modem would it be ok to download the software of my current speedtouch 330 usb adsl modem (which I currently use for my desktop) onto the laptop and use this modem should I want to connnect the laptop to the internet in my house. Also could somebody please recommend a wifi modem router that I could connect my desktop and laptop to. Thank you
