Toshiba L655 laptop

Just got this Toshiba L655-S5146 laptop a couple of days ago and like it real well so far. Had a question about the screen though.

When I go from my yahoo home page to my mail, or google I notice the computer makes a ding sound and at the same time the screen jumps or jiggles (just a little) to the left. I notice that there is a little space on the left side sort of like the up and down bar space on the right side but the the space on the left is about half the width. After the ding and the jiggle that space is filled with the screen. Is this a normal thing with Toshiba laptops. I have Windows 7. My wife has a new (less that a year old) HP laptop with Windows 7 and I had a Compaq with Vista and they don't do what I described.

I hope I made sense with what I was trying to describe. I do like the laptop so far. Really fast and pretty easy to use. Any advice or info would be appreciated.  Thanks.

I've never heard of this.

Is it possible to upload some video to youtube and post it here?

Not sure how to do that Steve. I'm not real good with stuff like that.

I do think what is happening, is that when I first go to my yahoo home page there is a little strip on the left side of the screen that is not filled with my home page and when I go to my mail or google and click on those the laptop dings and quickly fills the screen in a kind of screen jump to the left that fills the entire screen with what I've clicked on. Make any sense? Like I said earlier, the laptop seems to work fine. I like it and I understand that Toshiba laptops are good, reliable computers.  I got it at Wallmart and am not real crazy about taking it back to the salesperson that sells everything else in the store to ask him about it. So I thought I'd check on one of these forums.

What web browser are you using? If you're using Internet Explorer, there might be an antivirus check that's happening on each new page which is causing the issue you're describing. Try downloading and installing a different browser (Firefox, Opera, Chrome, or Safari) and let us know if the same thing happens with both browsers.
