Sager NP7280 or equivalent?

My research group is getting ready to purchase a laptop to use for data processing in the field (well...really more like in the hotel room after we return from the field). The number crunching we do requires large hard drives and CUDA GPU's.

Right now, I'm seriously looking at the NP7280 with the following specs:

2x GTX 485m graphics cards
i7 990x extreme processor
12 Gb DDR3
320 Gb primary HD
2x750 Gb HD in RAID0 for secondary storage

It addresses everything I need... strong, CUDA enabled GPUs, lots of disk space and tons of RAM (in that order). What I don't know about is the durability of the machine. We have used Lenovos in the past, and they hold up exceptionally well, but the only Lenovo that comes close to what I need only has a single Quatro 2000M g-card and a 15" screen (I like screen real estate). A single card would be okay...I just want something with some more power than the 2000M.

I've been out of the loop on high end laptops for a while, so I'm not sure what is out there, what new brands have popped up, or if Sager make quality machines. Any feedback or suggestions would be welcome. btw...working budget for this is in the $5k ballpark, but could swing up to $7k if needed.

This unit will totally meet your needs. I almost want to believe anything (aside from a Macbook) over $3k in high-performance parts would meet your needs.

What if you wait for a while and see whether Dell/HP/Lenovo would incorporate the Quadro 5010M which is supposed to be better than the 485M (although you can only have single 5010M as opposed to dual 485M). It all also depends on what kind of CUDA feature you're using. The Quadro card has ECC if that is important, you might prefer that card instead. It also has faster double-precision CUDA unit (1/2 the speed of single precision, as opposed to 1/8th in the 485M).
